This website was made as a piece of school work towards my level 2 btec in ict. This website was made for a company called Guided Tours Guernsey. This website was made over the course of 1 year. 

Guided Tours Guernsey (GTG) was established in 1990 by Burt and Mia in St Peter Port, the capital of the Island, Guernsey. They noticed that there were a growing number of continental school parties visiting the town and other tourist attractions in the channel islands. These visits tended to take place throughout the year with the an exception of August when fewer visits took place. Most of the visitors came to the island on day trips from nearby continental schools. Typically most the school groups seemed to be visiting the same few places at the same time each day, creating a lot of congestion and problems with larger numbers of foreign students being in one place at the same time. Guided tours Guernsey offer a route planning feature, to help people plan there trip and have a timed plan for each attraction they will be going to each day. They also feature a visit booking service, so that visiting school parties can have a well-planned visit with less risk of congestion at some of the main attractions. Over the years this service has expanded into also offering recommendations for overnight stays and then further into an agency providing hosts for 2 or 3 night stays in the local area.

The latest expansion of the company is into providing customized travel services for English Schools and Colleges planning 1 to 3 day visits to Guernsey.
